OXFORD, Ala. June 30, 2026 – Oxford Health Systems is excited to announce plans for a new Oxford Paramedics ambulance station in West Oxford, made possible through a generous land donation from Joey Callahan. Joey is the owner of GC Group Holdings and an Alabama Republican nominee for Alabama House District 32.
The donated property, located within the Oxford Oaks development in Oxford West, will serve as the future home of a new EMS station, strengthening emergency response capabilities and improving access to emergency medical services for residents throughout the area, including Eastaboga, Bynum, and West Oxford.
Callahan brings a lifetime of public service and community leadership to every project he supports. He served for 16 years as Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Lincoln, helping protect families, strengthen emergency preparedness, and support first responders in their mission to serve the community. His firsthand experience in emergency services as an Emergency Medical Technician has given him a deep understanding of the critical role of accessible healthcare and emergency medical response in improving outcomes and saving lives. Joey says his commitment to protecting communities made Oxford Health Systems’ vision of placing ambulance stations within the communities they serve a natural fit for his Oxford Oaks development.
In addition to his service in public safety, Callahan spent nine years on the Lincoln City Council, where he worked to attract new businesses, improve municipal services, support responsible growth, and enhance residents’ quality of life. Through those efforts, he gained valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing growing communities, as well as the importance of investing in infrastructure that will serve citizens for generations, just as this future Paramedic station will in West Oxford.

This future station will allow Oxford Paramedics to strategically position ambulances to serve the rapidly growing West Oxford area, ensuring emergency medical resources to meet community needs. “As West Oxford booms with new industrial growth, continued expansion of existing industry, and 400+ homes coming soon, partnerships like this, where a developer, such as Mr. Callahan, along with the city and the health system, come together to ensure the community is protected, are amazing”, said Dixon.
